How living in Mexico began my passion in Real Estate
I’ve always had a passion for business since I was little watching my grandfather & father who are both successful businessmen. I also adored teaching & while in college couldn’t decide if I wanted to be a teacher/educator or work in business. It’s a miracle I graduated on time with honors, since I switched back & forth between business & education & business. Luckily I found a way to do both in a career that I love!
When people ask how I got started in real estate I smile because it takes me back to when I was studying abroad in Queretaro, Mexico working on my degree in Business Management & Spanish. I had a Spanish Professor from the US contact me about a Spanish speaking Real Estate Broker who needed a Spanish speaking real estate assistant in the summer & during the fall. Since I was planning on returning to the US to finish my Bachelors degree the Broker hired me and I begin working as a real estate assistant full time while I finished college.
As I learned more about the real estate business & the opportunities to grow & help people, I discovered my passion for educating people on one of the most expensive & emotional purchases they would ever make! BINGO! I was able to combine my passion for teaching/educating along with my passion for business in real estate!
The real estate course only teaches you real estate law & how to pass the test. The class to become a real estate agent teaches realtors nothing about contract writing, people skills, negotiating, the sales or marketing skills needed. I have various mentors & utilized my degree & background in customer service to build a Real Estate business based on consulting, negotiating & overseeing of transactional details.
After learning how to properly write contracts, the ins & outs of foreclosures & HUD homes, dealing with some wonderful & not so wonderful real estate professionals I was able to build a wonderful team to assist me & my clients to make their experience so rewarding that they couldn’t help but tell everyone they knew about me.
Now nearly 8 years later in what many call one of the worst economic times in history, my business has grown & expanded in ways I never thought possible. Not only have I survived what some call a “horrible economy” I thrived in it. My secret to success was building great relationships with my clients and showing them that I have REFERRABLE QUALITIES. I offer education & consistent results for my clients. They know me & trust me & are very educated on how successful my business plan was for them and therefore have been referring their friends, family & coworkers to me for the last several years. My clients have said Anne you are the real deal……so I started using “Anne Patterson the real deal in real estate”
Since learning so much about the business I now saw a HUGE PROBLEM with the economic changes that have affected the nation & I knew I needed to offer my clients a SOLUTION. Knowing how much my clients are in debt or seeing the problems of those who have lost equity in their homes or new home owners accumulating mortgage debt on top of existing debt, I expanded on my consulting services.
Not only do I help people buy or sell real estate, I also help teach my clients how to ACTUALLY OWN the real estate they purchase by rapidly building equity OR help homeowners REBUILD the EQUITY they lost using their current income without changing their current lifestyle. On average I am able to help people reduce their total time to pay off ALL their debts including mortgage in ½ to 1/3 the time utilizing their existing income! And for those who lost equity on average I can show them how to rebuild some or all of their lost equity in months or a few years instead of having to wait on the economy to turn around.
I am passionate helping my clients strategize their current real estate investment in these many difficult changing times by helping my clients either stabilize their current situation or spot opportunities & build wealth from potential investments available.
